The Norwegian company has previously opened a test production facility in Mexico, and in the third quarter of the first Scandinavian plant, located in Skive in Denmark, will be ready for production of diesel. Five waste materials, three from the tar decanter and two from the benzol distillation column, have been considered together with a series of selected plasticizing additives as reference materials. It was found that the higher the volatile matter released in this temperature range by the additive, the higher the fluidity of the system.

The changes in coke structure which are controlled by the fluidity of the cocarbonizing systems lead to an improvement in coke quality parameters such as a reduction in coke fines production and more resistance to carbon dioxide attack. Biodiesel is environmentally-friendly and renewable fuel that can be produced from waste greases and oils from municipalities, restaurants and industry. Biodiesel plant produces environmentally-friendly and profitable biodiesel from animal and vegetable fats and waste oils. Biodiesel can be used blended with normal diesel as transport fuel. Biodiesel can also be used as heating oil or fuel for generators.

Globally, biofuel and oleochemical production based on plant oils negatively affects biodiversity. As an alternative triglyceride source, lipid production from oleaginous yeasts faces numerous challenges in feedstock availability, lipid productivity, downstream processing, and waste treatment, prohibiting the design of a cost-competitive process with regard to plant equivalents.
